Sport weight #2, 100% Superfine Alpaca, comes in skeins of 50 grams (1.75 oz), 184 yards (168 meters). The best quality alpaca for the value, this yarn should be a staple in every store with 48 fabulous colors to choose from: 24 solid dyed, 11 natural and 13 heather colors.  For many of our designs, we double this yarn to obtain a DK weight.
Gauge of 1 strand: 28 st = 4" (10 cm) (7 st = 1") using US size 1 (2.25 mm) needles.
Gauge with 2 strands: 22 st = 4" (10 cm) (5.5 st = 1") using US size 6 (4 mm) needles.
